Windows 10X: why and for which devices?

Microsoft not only presented hardware at its last conference, but also made Windows 10X, a new version of its operating system, official. But why would a new OS be necessary?

During its conference, the Redmond firm unveiled the Surface Neo, a tablet that can be converted into a laptop computer and equipped with two screens. The device, which will be released in 2020, will run on Windows 10X, a new version of Microsoft’s operating system.

Microsoft announced, as rumours suggested, a new variant of Windows 10 called Windows 10X. This version of Windows has been specially designed for Surface Neo, and for the partner products that will be announced later, it is a new expression of Windows 10 designed for dual screen devices.
